Aashiyana Institute organised an Art and Craft exhibition at the school premises at Zari Sancoale.The Chief guest for the inaugural function of the exhibition was Mrs.Shaheen Khalid – senior psychiatrist at Azilo hospital, Mapusa.
The Students displayed their creative talents through a range of art and craft models at the exhibition.
One among them was a model educating on pollution control by the students of class VIII and X
Among the other models on display were the map of Goa, map of India, Topsy-Turvy land, puzzles and zoo. There were a few models showing animals found in different regions of the world and the benefits of coconut tree. The most fascinating model was the depiction of the solar system made by the students of class 6.

Apart from these there were exhibition of hand crafted items made from waste.. Flowers made of plastic and pistachio shells, handmade table decorations , handmade plane using plastic bottle, flower vaz from paper rolls etc were on display.

A section was devoted to Islamic Awareness where students depicted through models the hajj rituals, obedience to God and importance of charity.
Mrs. Shaheen Khalid commented that the exhibition was a wonderful display of the talents of the teachers and students.
Residents of the area, trustees of Madhur Sandesh and prominent citizens visited the exhibition.
Mrs Tafsin Abdul Wahab proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the students for their hard work.
