On the occasion of idd ul fitr Jamaat e Islami Hind Goa Zone extended greetings to the people of Goa. Jb Abdul Wahid Khan- President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Goa Zone in a press release stated that idd was a day of reward for the one fasted and devoted himself to God with sincerity and dedication. He said idd was an opportunity for the people of the world to strive for the unity of mankind. ” Peace, justice, human equality and brotherhood are the outcome of acknowledgement of and obedience to the Creator”, he said.
Jamaat e Islami Hind Goa delegation visited the Archbishop of Goa Rev. Fr Philipe Neri Ferrao at his residence in Altinho. The delegation conveyed the idd message for the Unity of Mankind and expressed the need for a co-operation between followers of all religion to work to save humanity from the materialistic approach to life.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Goa spokesperson Asif Hussain along with Jb Altaf Shah and others lead a delegation to P.P.Brahmeshanand Swami at Tapobhumi Mutt in Kundaim. P.P. Brahmeshanand Swami appreciated the efforts of developing mutual co-operation among all faiths to counter the moral decay in the society. He said religious leaders of all communities need to save Goan society from the threat posed by the spread of alcohol and drugs. The jamaat delegation impressed upon him the philosophy of fasting, its importance and its relevance in developing God-consciousness, that is much needed to imbibe responsibility and accountability in human life.
Jamaat delegations visited the Chief Minister, Dy. Chief Minister, Director General of Police and other dignitaries across the state of Goa with the message of idd-ul-fitr.
