CIVILIZATIONAL HARMONY IN VED AND QURAN HELD AT MCC HALL, MARGAO
Promotion of brotherhood & developing communal harmony in the society with an objective of bridging the gap between different communities and to clear the misunderstandings among different faiths has been one of the top priorities of Jamaat e Islami Hind ever since its inception.
In yet another such effort the Goa Zone of JIH conducted a program on ” CIVILIZATIONAL HARMONY IN VED & QURAN” on Friday, 7th November 2014 at MCC Hall, Margao
The program began with the recitation of Holy Quran by Br. Azharduddin followed by Welcome & Inaugural address. Br. Ateequr Rahaman extended a warm welcome to the audience on behalf of JIH Goa & Margao Unit. The Guest speakers from Delhi Jb.Mohammed Iqbal Mulla sb and Dr. Mohammed Haneef Khan Shastri Sb were accompanied by Jb. Waheed Khan sb,Zonal President JIH,Goa Zone to the stage for further proceedings of the event. The objectives of organising such programs by Jamaat was highlighted & a brief introduction of the guest speakers was also presented to the audience by the convenor of the program.
Dr. Mohammed Haneef Khan Shastri, an eminent Sanskrit Scholar ,Author and an expert on Ved & Quran with PH.d in Gayathi Mahamantra was the first speaker to address the gathering.
Dr. Shahstri with his deep knowledge of the Ved & Quran recited Shlokas from the Ved & Verses of the holy Quran simultaneously to emphasize the similarities presented in both the scriptures.

Dr.Haneef shastri highlighted with his Gyaan the concept of oneness of God, His Sovereignty, attributes & Supremacy over the entire universe. Quoting from both
Ved & Quran the author of 700 poems based on 700 Slokhas Dr. Shastri Also mentioned that God the divine has created Human as his representative on earth and hence man should lead life with divinely qualities for good of Humanity.
The next speaker was someone Known for his soft spoken mode of delivering talks, the National Secretary of JIH Jb. Mohammed Iqbal Mulla Sab. Addressing an audience of around 250 men & women belonging to different faiths the learned speaker emphasized on the importance of creating a harmonious society for real progress & peaceful existence.
Expressing his concern on a few realities of the society which need immediate repair Jb.Iqbal Mulla sab said that most of us today are existing to just fill the stomach with no serious & responsible purpose in life similar to the creatures living in forest.
We plan everything for the good of this worldly life from ensuring financial savings for the daughters wedding to happen 20 yrs later,we ensure the son gets educated in prestigious universities for a healthy living..we ensure a luxurious house, a comfortable car & so on but forget to prepare even a small bit for the life after death which is everlasting and never ending.
He called upon the audience to reflect & become wiser in the days to come.
The senior leader who served Jamaat in Karnataka & Goa for 12 years as its president pointed out that the entire human race is the creation of One God Allah born from the same parents and hence belong to the same family,
Quoting the Quran he said that having concern for fellow humans & loving humanity irrespective of caste creed, status , religion , region,color,nationality is very vital to promote harmony.
It is mandatory on the one who believes in God & loves God that he loves his fellow beings said the speaker
He invited the learned & elite gathering to think & reflect upon the oneness of the creator and also to read the Quran for divinely guidance.
During the talk, the Hubli Born leader of Jamaat also introduced a few activities of JIH in terms social transformation which Jamaat has been doing since last 6 decades
Concluding his wise thoughts he invited all to know Islam and read Quran without hesitation & fear
The program concluded with vote of thanks followed by dinner & interaction
House of Wisdom- The Islamic bookstore displayed Quran in different languages along with Islamic books on various topics which were purchased by many guests.
