A one day programme on Welfare of society was held on 29th may 2014 at masjd ul Abrar Margao – Goa. A group of 50 Kannada speaking people attended this programme. The guests of honour for the day were Jb. Abdussalam and Jb. MuhammedKunhi sahib.
Jb Abdus Salam sahib began the program with words of Wisdom from the Quran.
The inaugural address was given by Ameer e Halqa, Jb. Abdul wahid khan sahib who posed a very important question to the audience as to why aren’t we making an efforts to remove misconceptions about Islam and muslims among kannada speaking people especially when there are so many people who can understand this language very well.
After a short tea break Jb. Muhammedkunhi sahib gave a brief introduction of formation of Shanti Prakashan and its achievement till date. He said the main motto of this organisation is to develop strong bonds with kannada speaking people and do social work and spread Islamic knowledge among the different sectsion of the society.
Later on jb.Abdussalam spoke on current Kannada literatures like Sanmarga, anupama and a TV channel . He said that it was the order of maulanaMaududi to publish newspapers in different languages and hence Sanmarga came into light. Its been almost 36 years since its publication.
On other hand Anupama is a magazine entirely based on women power and comes out with issues in society realted to women in a very interesting form. Another approach to this field is a TV channel ( Hira video) broadcasted at hidayat centre which telecasts kanada talks especially during Ramadhan.
The next session began with a discourse on the sayings of Prophret by Jb. Mohammad Ismail sahib on how to achieve jannah through our deeds.
A small open house session was conducted by MaulanaMubeenAsri on how to tackle the difficulties that we face during Dawah in Kannada.
Alhamdullilah by the end of the day A “ kanada Cell” was established at Goa level, Jb Ismail mohammed being its Convenor. A team was prepared at different units to run this cell smoothly.
