Students Islamic Organisation of India has decided to conduct a Nation-wide “Students Festival’ on 18th & 19th October 2012 at Kolkata – West Bengal. Students from across the country are expected to participate in the event in hundreds. The program will be concluded with a ‘Student Convention’ on 19th October 2012. The ‘Students Festival’ will feature various competitions related to Art & Culture.
Art and Culture are ways of expressing one’s feelings, of creating something beautiful that enriches the others. It has been for centuries a way of manipulating masses and of manipulating the human conscience. The world of the art creates another reality and it makes us live in a parallel universe. It has been discovered that where people choose to attend arts and cultural events can be crucial to developing effective strategies for reaching broader and more diverse audiences.
The Students Festival ‘12 will provide a platform to the student community to exhibit their skills and talents in the field of art and culture. The festival would strive to give a new dimension to creativity by coloring it with value based entertainment.
Thus SIO, using art and culture as a strong tool would like to showcase various activities with moral values which will lead people God conscious and leads them to purposeful living.
