A health and hygiene programme was organised by Womens Wing Jamaat e Islami Hind Margao unit.
The guest speaker for the evening was Dr. Aurelia Albuquerque, famous Gynaecologist from Margao.
The programme commenced with recitation of the verses from Quran by sister Saba (GIO) followed by the inaugural address given by Mrs. Tabbassum Saheba – Womens Wing unit president. She verbalized how a girl has to go through different stages in her life as a daughter, a wife and a mother taking care of everyone around her , to keep others happy she has to be happy first and that can only happen with a healthy mind and body.
Dr. Aurelia informed the audience on various women related health issues, and spread awareness about some dangerous cancers found due to lack of cleanliness in women.This was followed a interactive question and answer session.
Mrs. Meenaz Bhanu spoke on the topic health and hygiene in Islam.
She focused on etiquettes related to health taught by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)1400 years ago which are now being recognized by the world of science.
Dr. Aurelia was surprised to know that Islam has detailed guidelines to live a happy and healthy life.
A momento was then presented to our guest speaker by Mrs. Saira Banu Saheba- all Goa Womens Wing President.
Moving towards the end of the programme dua and vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Farnaz Anis.
