A Free Medical Camp for women and children was organized by Humanitarian Relief Society Goa(HRS) in association with Dr.Nicola Coutinos Homeopathic Clinic Margao at Al-aman Hall, Sirvodem,Margao. 7 young doctors volunteered for the camp namely.,Dr.Zareen Shaikh(BHMS), Dr.Khaliqua Ali(BHMS), Dr.Abika.A.Lotlikar(BHMS), Dr.Razia Peres(BHMS), Dr.Parveen Sayema(BHMS), Dr.Zenin Khan(BHMS), Dr.Saloni S Prabhu(BHMS).
80 people from locality registered and benifited from the camp. They were provided free check up and given free medicines.Screening of Blood Pressure,weight and health complaints were noted .The prevalent diseases found in the said camp are skin problems,Arthritis and Gastrointestinal problems.The doctors were assisted by 3 volunteers.
At the end of the camp in the concluding programme Mrs.Farheena Hussaini (Member of JIH) presented the Introduction of J.I.H and its wings and HRS, in which she briefly explained that HRS is a social service wing of Jamaat e Islami Hind. She also gave brief description of HRS’s objectives in the educational field, in the medical field and how it works during disaster management. In the concluding programme doctors appreciated the co- operation by HRS and they also said that they are ready to work for camps in the future.Mrs.Gulzar Parveen(Member of JIH,Goa) conveyed the vote of thanks and presented the momemtos to the Doctors.
