Humanitarian Relief Society Goa took into consideration the devastation caused by the floods in Kashmir and immediately sent appeal letters to all masjids asking them to participate in the “ Kashmir Flood Relief Fund”. The response from the Masjid Committee was overwhelming. Imams and khatibs exhorted the worshippers during the friday prayers to contribute to the fund.
Humanitarian Relief Society Goa has been in the forefront in Goa helping mankind in times of man-made and natural calamities. The drive to raise funds for the victims will be stepped up in the coming days. The funds collected will be deposited to the Markaz Relief Fund- Jamaat-e-Islami Hind which is co-ordinating the collection of the relief Fund.
Earlier HRSG has raised relief funds for uttarakand flood victims, Muzaffarpur riot victims and Assam riots. Those desirous of contributing to the “Kashmir Flood relief Fund “ may do so in favour of Humanitarian relief Society Goa a/c # 014310025251 , Dena Bank – Panjim Branch.
