Jamaat-e-islami Hind, Margao unit organized Quran Pravachan on 25th
January 2014 at the MCC hall, Margao. The Quran discourse on the
topic “PROPHET MUHAMMED (SAW)-THE BENEFACTOR OF HUMANITY” was
delivered by Janab Muhammed Kunni Sahab, Manager-Shanti Prakashana,
Mangalore
Addressing a gathering of around 150 Kannada speaking men & women
Jb.MuhammedKunni in his trademark sharp & precise manner enlightened
the audience with the various dimensions of Prophet Muhammed’s (pbuh)
life
In a discourse of about an hour Jb.Kunni during the initial part of
the talk spoke with pain on the moral degradation of the society
filled with various evils like greed, selfishness, uncared parents,
lavish living with no sense of care for the needy, disrespect &
exploitation of women etc..He said an in depth study of the life of
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) reveals that his way of living offers effective
solutions to the present day problems.
In a smooth flow of rich Kannada vocabulary which was pleasing to hear
and satisfying to the heart of any Kannadiga, Janab kunni sab
highlighted that Prophet Muhammed (SAW) preached to mankind that the
real identity of man is that each individual being the representative
(Khalifah) of Allah on earth & hence humans are naturally bound to
lead a virtuous life in accordance with the divine guidance of god.
He said that one of the major characteristic of the holy Prophet which
made him the genuine “Benefactor of Humanity” was his positive
approach in solving the problems of humanity and the wisdom with which
he guided his companions with magical counseling. Various Instances
from the prophet’s life were quoted to emphasize this fact.
The orator enlisted different events which proved that the life of
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was filled with piety, humility, simplicity,
respect for women, care for orphans & needy, leadership abilities to
the best and emphasized that these were the qualities which helped the
prophet bring about a civilizational change. The need of the hour is
to learn lessons from his life to solve problems of this era and
create a society full of peace & justice.
