The new premises of Students Centre Miramar was inaugurated on 11 June 2015 at the hands of Jb Salim Kazi General Secretary – Association of All Goa Muslim Jamaats.
Br. Asif Hussain in his inaugural address briefed the gathering about the the songs and objectives of SCM.
He said the Students Centre Miramar is a boon for the Muslims in Goa and the Goan Society. It’s location in Panjim the capital city of Goa will enable the Muslims to play a pivotal role in the progress and development of Goa, he said. He stated that Students Centre Miramar will act as an interface for organising the Muslims responsibility towards the society and be a platform for multiple socio welfare activities. Students career counselling, family counselling, pre- marital counselling will be handled by “Raahat Counselling Centre” located at SCM. Emphasizing the importance of students coaching and training in both academic and spiritual path, he said SCM will focus activities students orientation. The classrooms at Students Centre were designed to give the best environment for Islamic studies and research. He listed the future plans for an Islamic information Centre, a press room and studio too.
Later the Documentary “Inside Goa” was screened to give the audience a glimpse of the activities of Jamaat e Islami Hind Goa.
Jb Salim Kazi congratulated the SCM for is tremendous efforts in fixing the Muslims of Goa towards acquiring Islamic education through BIE weekend classes and fulfilling their Islamic responsibility.He appreciated the contribution of “House Of Wisdom” the multi lingual Islamic book shop . He said it was the moral duty of all to support the efforts initiated at Students Centre Miramar.
Maulana Zafar Alam Nadvi spoke on the importance Zakat and urged all to study the collective and central nature and utilization of Zakat funds.
Br. Irshad Moosa convened the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
