MARGAO – 2nd January 2015 :-
As part of the 10 day campaign on the theme “ISLAMI KHANDAAN”, the JIH unit of Margao organized a grand KHITAAB-E-AAM at Chandwada Community Hall on 2nd January 2015.
The program started with the recitation of Quran by Moulana Ilias Sab after maghrib Salah followed by the inaugural words delivered by Moulana Zafar Alam Nadvi Sab. While highlighting the need, importance & objectives of the campaign Moulana Zafar, who is the committee member of Shobe Islami Muashara JIH Goa, also mentioned the immediate need of rectifying the grave situation of the Muslim community in terms of lavish spending in marriages, un-Islamic customs & traditions which are been followed religiously by the ummah.
The guest speaker Moulana Rafeeq Qasmi Sab, Secretary Shobe Islami Muashara JIH Markaz was introduced to the audience by the convenor of the program Br.Ateequr Rahaman and invited to speak on the central theme of the campaign ISLAMI KHANDAAN
The speaker began his address quoting Surah Baqarah, Verse 208 (2:208) to emphasize to the gathered audience of around 650 men & women that “believers in Islam are expected to enter into Islam completely & follow it wholeheartedly” for success in this world & the hereafter
The learned alumni of Darul Uloom Deoband made an underlining statement when he said that people in our society today speak of ISLAHE MUASHARA which without doubt should be done, but what’s more important than islahe muashara is the need to understand that every one of us should not just speak and discuss but work rigorously to create an ISLAMI MUASHARA
ISLAMIC FAMILY & strive to ERADICATE DOWRY
The institution of family is formed through nikah & the formation of ISLAMI FAMILY is possible only when we abide by the islamic way of forming a family. Quoting a Hadith moulana said that Islam ordains one to prefer piety over beauty, wealth & lineage when deciding to marry.
The speaker questioned, Is it not sad that Muslims in the present times quote the event of Muhammed (SAW) presenting Hazrat Fatima (RA) with basic necessities of life & in the pretext have made dowry mandatory? One should also know that Prophet Muhammed (SAW) had not presented the smallest of things to other 3 daughters said the moulana & humbly appealed that for Allah’s sake not to drag the holy Prophet in matters of our misdeeds. Echoing the present scenario of the country Rafeeq qasmi sab diverted the attention of the audience to an event where the social evil of dowry compels a bihari father to slaughter his daughter to death unable to fulfill the dowry demands and surrenders himself to police requesting to be hanged.
Due to this menace the female child is considered to be a curse & burden to the family hence female foeticide is rampantly practiced in our nation which is a deeply painful situation.
The former Ameer-e-halqa of UP pointing towards the female audience mentioned that islam- the religion of mercy- has given glad tidings to those parents having daughters.
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) displayed his fore finger & middle finger while addressing a gathering of women & said “the one who has 3 daughters, nourishes them, educates them & gets them married to pious men he will be close to me in Jannah the way these 2 fingers are close
Women should know their rights & status which islam bestows upon them, be conscious enough to get their rights specially the dower (MAHAR) amount from their husbands and save them from hell fire. Quoting a hadith the wise leader of Jamaat said that Allah will raise those men who fail to pay dower to their wives from among the fornicators (ZAANI)
Concluding his talk Moulana Rafeeq Qasmi sab, who is also the member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, called upon the Muslim community of Margao & Goa to strive towards establishment of ISLAMI FAMILY & ISLAMI SOCIETY.
The event concluded with Vote of thanks & Dua
